Cultivating Life Beyond Earth: The Role of Greenhouse Ecosystems
Cultivating Life Beyond Earth: The Role of Greenhouse Ecosystems in Interplanetary Sustainability
Abstract:
Greenhouse ecosystems play a pivotal role in sustaining life on other planets by providing essential resources and creating a self-sustaining environment for human habitation. This article explores the selection and cultivation of plant species within greenhouse environments to fulfil critical functions such as food production, oxygen generation, carbon dioxide absorption, water recycling, soil health maintenance, and psychological well-being. Drawing upon scientific research from laboratories and universities worldwide, we examine the current state of greenhouse technology and highlight future goals for advancing interplanetary sustainability.
